We source Grade-A Vanilla planifolia from small family farms in the volcanic soils of Java, Bali and Sumatra, slow-cured the traditional way, then graded by us: moisture, vanillin, pod length and aroma documented on paper. High vanillin means you use less; consistent lots mean no surprises. What reaches your kitchen is exactly what we tasted.

High-vanillin Planifolia from the volcanic soils of Indonesia's islands: clean, sweet and creamy, without the smoky or tobacco notes of other origins. Slow-cured the traditional way for a glossy, oil-rich, flexible pod, and graded by hand before it reaches you.

How much do I need?
A 500 g pack goes a long way.
High-vanillin beans mean you use fewer of them. A rough guide, per Grade-A pod, split and scraped:

Sourcing
Direct & fair, by design.
We buy from small Indonesian family farms, with direct relationships and fair prices to the growers who cure the beans by hand. Careful cultivation on a human scale is not a marketing line here; it is why the quality stays consistent.
